Usually I post with some inspirational quotes to get people to smile, but after having just watched the new outing from DC Comics, Batman V Superman, I had to put some words on paper so to speak. The recent rehash of old characters and series lately have been pretty decent. The alternative universe Star Trek, I was mildly impressed. Deadpool? The slow-motion action scenes have been done to death, 2 out of 5 stars. Other recent releases from Marvel, like the Captain America and Avenger movies? Pretty fun to watch. Ben Affleck as the new Batman? Possibly the worse performance of any actor in a movie I have watched recently. If he was any more wooden, you could plant him in a forest. Christian Bale did a really good job alternating between the jaded billionaire playboy and the tortured vigilante in the Dark Knight trilogy. It was believable. Please DC do not punish us with Affleck again on our movie screens. The movie overall? Jumping from scene to scene, with huge holes left in the plot? 2 out of 5 stars. Very Disappointed.
p.s the new Rogue One trailer looks awesome! I’m glad Disney are pumping out some Star Wars movies!!
